Hi Jack

With your desciption of the hips then the x-factor stretch and kinetic sequencing that is evident in all top major league swings would be impossible. The lower body hips and torso must start to rotate before the shoulders in order for there to be x-factor stretch and the lower body rotation must be decelerating for upper body to have energy transfered up through it.

I know that you follow the information at skill technologies and as I have been to see them in Phoenix personally I have to agree with the raw data as it is scientifically tested.

One more point to ponder is if hips and shoulders rotated at the same rate you would only be as fast as your hips can turn and as a tested point I have seen that hip drive (back heel to the sky with the back foot even going towards the pitcher) creates higher bathead speed and ball speed off the bat. I used a radar gun to measure ball speed off a tee. Not completely scientific but effective.
